OVERHAULS ~ BY JO JO RIGGS
"Overalls"
The definition of Overalls, Loose fitting garment worn over regular clothes to protect them. That definition makes me laugh, because that reminds me of someone. Not regular, but the protector of the regular.
Overalls are different than other clothes, you don't have to pamper them or put them in a dress bag in your closet or worry about gizzard grease on your sleeve, just clip and zip or sometimes just clip and go about your business. Overalls can hold a lot of things at once, kinda like a sensitive man holding the needs of others above himself.
Overalls are comfortable, relaxing, handy, American.....kinda like a back porch visit on the river.
Overalls can get awkward looks and judgmental words said like redneck, farmer, hillbilly, poor, uneducated. NOT ME, when I see a pair of overalls, I see my uncle dedication, work ethic, devoted husband, loving daddy, I see America! I see my uncle!

So the next time you see someone in overalls don't judge them, consider it an opportunity to change your life.
